I’m a big tea drinker; Earl Grey, Darjeeling, Yorkshire (of course!). You really can’t beat sitting down at the end of a long day with a hot cup of tea. So when Maria at Teazone in Aberdeen asked me to review a few of her loose leaf blends I didn’t need to be asked twice…

She sent me a lovely collection of flavoured teas in their little silver pots and I have to say I think I may have found a new favourite. Fig Oolong is the new Earl Grey, people! The subtle, comforting flavour is just the job on a winters day. Unfortunately I drank it all and Madeleine took the empty pot for her play kitchen before I got a picture but it was ever so pretty with chunks of pink fig and yellow sunflower petals.

Coming in a close second is Baked Apple with it’s gorgeously sweet blend of apple, cinnamon & almond. Perfect for when you’re craving some after dinner sweetness. Apple crumble without the calories!

I’m told there is a website in the pipeline but in the meantime you can find Teazone on Etsy or at Maria’s new Teashop on Justice Street in Aberdeen. If you’re in the area make sure you pop in for a cuppa & support a local independent trader.

Are you a tea lover, too? What’s your favourite brew?
