There’s a couple of men in my family that are a nightmare to buy for because they have no hobbies or particular interests. I struggle every year to think of something to get them but luckily this Christmas I’ve got it sorted thanks to Groupon’s gifts for him.
For those that don’t know, Groupon is a website featuring deals and coupons for goods and local services (such as restaurants or hotels) all at a whopping 40-60% off. You can find everything from socks to spa days so it is the perfect place to search for gifts for the difficult men in your life!
The deals change regularly but here are my current favourites…
Okay, so this isn’t one for your diabetic Grandad but I guarantee the combination of nostalgia and sugar will be a hit with most people! I used to love going to the village shop for a Double Dip after school.
Everyone needs a wallet, don’t they? This one comes in a choice of styles with a RFID signal-blocking feature to prevent credit card fraud. Pick pockets have gone high tech nowadays and no longer need to actually pick your pockets to steal your details thanks to RFID (radio frequency identification) but you’ll be giving the gift of peace of mind with this wallet.
For people who have no hobbies, practical gifts are definitely the way to go. And if you’re searching for a gift for someone who drives a lot then this could be the ideal solution. My Father in Law has one and I think it’s a great idea. Did you know there were 10,881 road accident casualties in Scotland in 2016? If, God forbid, there should ever be an accident it would all be recorded on the dash cam. No more “he said, she said”, the evidence would be there for all to see.
How about treating someone to a trip away? There are so many bargain getaways to choose from on Groupon, including Venice, Krakow or Blackpool, but of course I had to pick the one in my neck of the woods! This particular deal is for 1 or 2 Nights for Two with Breakfast, Three-Course Dinner, Glass of Fizz, and Late Check-Out at The Royal Hotel. Oban is known as the Gateway to the Isles as well as the Seafood Capital of Scotland so there’s plenty to do, see and eat. And if your loved one wishes to relax in the evening there is often live music at The Royal. I hear they’ve recently been refurbishing some of their rooms, too.
Tickets to See Chris Rock
I love Chris Rock but admittedly he may not be everyone’s cup of tea, in which case there’s plenty of other nights out to choose from. How about Dancing on Ice or UB40? It may not be something to physically unwrap but you’re giving the gift of fun, what can be better than that?!
It’s less than a week to Christmas now. How many gifts are you yet to buy? Head over to Groupon for some great deals and get them all ticked off your list! And while you’re there make sure you sign up for their newsletter so that you don’t miss out on any local bargains.
