It’s been ages since my last outfit post so I thought I’d follow on from my review of the Loch Fyne Hotel with a quick look at what I wore on day one. I had planned to take some beautiful pictures by the loch but the weather was not playing ball, so I’m afraid you’ll have to make do with a few hastily shot photos of me scoffing tea & biscuits instead…

Dress: New Look | Top: New Look via charity shop
Bag: Zatchels | Shoes: ASOS | Earrings: ASOS

I love this denim midi dress & wear it all the time, layered with various different tops. This time I teamed it with a classic Breton that I picked up in a charity shop. Both the sparkly silver shoes and yellow saddle bag are go-to items in my wardrobe and never fail to make me smile.

The false nails were a lovely matte pink set that I picked up for a quid in Primark and had taken to put on before dinner. Unfortunately the loveliness only extended as far as the colour. I couldn’t get the top off the glue so used my teeth to remove it…not one of my better ideas. Of course the glue squirted all over my teeth, lips and tongue and, believe me, that stuff is not easy to get off teeth! In fact it was a good week or so before it came off completely.

The nails themselves were pretty awful too and most of them had broken or split within a few hours. I couldn’t wait to get them off to be honest so I most definitely would not recommend them. An epic fail for both Primark and myself.

I reckon it was a win for this outfit, though. Denim & Breton is always a good combo in my book!
